If your drill has reverse (which most of them do) make sure your set to the right way before drilling. I recall once I was drilling and couldn't figure why my hole never got any deeper. Turns out I was in reverse so the bit never plunged into the material. Just made a divot on top.

My curtains are on a pull cord system. And i found if i do it this way with many hooks onto every hanging point on the rail, when opening the hanging points would jam and turn sideways, making the curtain stop opening, meaning you have to pull down on the curtain to pull the runner back down straight to slide again. If i use way less hanging points, like pne every 10 hanhing points it opens smoothly with no jams, but they just dont sit/ look right. Frustrating.

Baking soda and vinegar and dawn dishwashing soap does wonders. Let it sit over night and see what happens.

The only thing that concerns me is the humidity that may come up through the soil beneath the floor, especially if the water sits there underneath after heavy rain, whereas a traditional slab on ground would have a moisture barrier to stop moisture coming up through.

Use less fabric conditioner, it is made of animal fats that turns into a greasy smelly residue around the drum & plastic parts!

I tried the paracetamol method but became poisoned in the process, I happened to inhale all the smoke, it's dangerous to burn tablets as they contain chemical fumes. Very stupid to recommend such a thing without giving clear instructions.

people who live in areas, where the drinking water is " soft " is a bit acidic, makes their teeth etc funerable, acid dissolves lime. but if you use " soft water " in your washing machines, showers, and washing windows etc, they are spotless. when we wash are hands in the wash hand basin, with hand soap, it produces " soap scum " which ends up blocking the trap and waste pipes, same applies to showers, you more than likely, know all about this, l have been a plumber since 1972, so l could not aviod it

So, have I got this right? A single curtain should ideally be the same width as the space for two curtains (the length of the curtain rail)? And then you tighten it up to cover half the space?
